As many of our Brides & Grooms know, AJH is more than just DJ Services, and we want you to know the reason behind that NOW. Although this blog is for the Brides, we first want to explain the history behind the making of Quest, and it’s many divisions.

This past summer, two talented Emcee’s, Adam and Alex,  from the AJH Entertainment office put their heads together and came up with two Camp Crazed games of Camper Quest and Camper Glow, that became more than just a camp idea. After reserving over thirty camp events within the months of just July and August, Quest & Glow made it’s way to the campuses, one of which was Georgian Court University, and they also made an appearance at a Hebrew School, creating their very own “Jewpardy” version of Jeopardy. We are HUUUGE! camp fans in the AJH office, and if you know anything about being a camper, it’s all about color war and competing against one another. We have kept these experiences close to our hearts. Months later, we are still transitioning the game show side of our AJH into other event types. Mitzvahs, Communions, Birthday parties, and Bridal Showers.

How does a Wedding relate to Camp? Just as a camper does not want to see the same thing each year at camp, many Brides are skipping over showers because they are usually all very traditional and predictable. Additionally, many Bride’s are not the center of attention type person (meaning they do not want all eyes on them at one time), and the are looking to skip what is traditional. It’s called being a Bride in Charge.

AJH has introduced Bridal Quest, the new interactive game show for the Bride to be! Whether the Bride has requested this, or her maids want to surprise her with it, your shower will be far from the norm. Bridal Quest includes trivia all about the Bride & Groom, which allows your guests to learn a little more about each one of you. Let’s face it, we do not know everyone coming to our wedding, so why not start your relationship with these people now? This game is great for all ages, and it is sure to break the silence of those boring table talks, while we watch the Bride open all of those gifts.

Alex & Jared crowd surf at Radisson Hotel!

What’s different about this picture? When guests’s walked into the room for Alex & Jared’s Bnai Mitzvah, they actually felt like they were at home with these two. We loved the idea of covering up the artwork at the venue, and incorporating Alex & Jared into the frame, it was picture perfect!

Summer 2015 Presents: Camper Glow & Camper Quest

     This coming summer AJH Entertainment will be officially debuting our newest branches of entertainment primarily geared towards summer camps called Camper Glow & Camper Quest. After running our extremely successful Hop & Bop-A-Thon parties at Frog Bridge Day Camp for the last three consecutive summers we finally decided to take the show on the road and create a new brand of entertainment solely for campers. Summer camp is a place where kids can be kids, explore, learn new things, meet new people, and most importantly have fun and that is why we are bringing the fun directly to them in the form of Camper Glow & Camper Quest.

Camper Glow is an elite, all-inclusive Neon – Day Glow Dance party that comes directly to camps to throw the biggest and most exciting event a camp has ever seen. We will transform any designated space into an electrifying dance party experience that campers won’t soon forget.

Camper Glow comes complete with; an MC and DJ providing all the hits campers want to dance to, an extravagant light show creating a stimulatingly brilliant atmosphere, dancers to keep the party going, and of course all the neon-glow paints/highlighters, T-shirts and giveaways needed to create the full day glow party experience at any camp.

Camper Quest is an exhilarating new game show that combines both engaging physical and mental challenges into one of the most exciting and entertaining experiences campers won’t want to miss. Two teams of campers and counselors go head-to-head in a variety of fun, competitive games ranging from brain-racking trivia & charades to wacky relay races and obstacle courses.

Camper Quest comes complete with our extravagant game show set including; a personalized backdrop, state-of-the-art sound system and lighting, lit podiums fit with buzzers and digital score screens, and 2 huge LED TV’s to allow the entire camp audience to join in on the fun. Our lively show host and DJ will lead campers through a stimulating rollercoaster ride of games and challenges while keeping the audience fully engaged and participating. Camper Quest is jam-packed with hours of entertainment for the entire camp, as our game show is fully customizable for all age groups.

Not only are we bringing this electrifying summer experience directly to day and sleep away camps in the tri-state area, but we also have a new location called Game Changer World on Route 9 in Howell who will be hosting our events in their beautiful, newly renovated event space. AJH Photo booth FAQ’s

While in the midst of planning your special event, you may be wondering what else? One of the most popular party extras is a Photo booth. Great for any event type, a photo booth can also be the answer to some of the final touches you may be seeking. If you are stumped on whether or not to provide your guests’ with favors, or what the favor should be, a Photo booth picture and frame is the answer! One thing your guests’ will want, is pictures of themselves. You are providing your guests’ with novelty entertainment, that includes unlimited pictures for 4 hours of fun. Eliminate your time and stress wondering what you should do for favors, cut out the over priced costs of favors, and reserve a photo booth instead!

How does reserving a booth benefit the Guest/s Of Honor?

By reserving a photo booth, you as the host will also receive a digital copy of all of your images. Emcee Spotlight – Alex Z.

MC Alex Z     When AJH Entertainment made its debut on to the scene back in 1997, Alex Zebede was one of the first talents we brought on the staff. Alex was discovered when Adam was providing entertainment for a Sweet 16 whose guest of honor was a good friend of his. Alex immediately took to the stage and began leading dances for all of the guests and when Adam handed him the microphone he took to MCing the party like a pro. Since then Alex has become a permanent AJH entertainer, starting out dancing & DJing events, he is now one of AJH’s lead Wedding, Bar/Bat Mitzvah & Sweet 16 MC’s.

561269_858684921686_851902950_nAlex Zebede was born in Brooklyn, NY into a family of artists & performers. His father Maurice is a professional singer, photographer and also a painter. Growing up Alex always had a knack for photography, which you can check out on his website www.zbdphotography.com, but more importantly he had a way of captivating an audience and an out-going, high-energy personality perfectly fit to MC events. Noticing this at an early age, Alex began MCing & DJing parties throughout high school & college, fine-tuning his skills and perfecting his craft. Recently he returned from a nation-wide tour where he hosted family-friendly events in malls, armed force bases, and renowned nightclubs throughout the country.

Alex studied at Rowan University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising. His senior year he studied abroad in Florence, Italy where he actually got a job doing marketing and leading tours for a travel agency and also MCing & DJing events in some of the cities biggest bars & nightclubs (or discotecas as they say).

     This opportunity gave Alex a taste for connecting with a variety of audiences of all ages and ethnicities, as well as a taste for some mouth-watering Italian cuisine, like his prized personal sandwich, The Magic ZBD, on the menu of one of Florence’s most popular panini shops, Pino’s. In his spare time Alex enjoys digging for new music to listen to, going on scenic photography adventures, cuddling with his adorable puppy Charlie, and of course traveling as often as possible. Luckily his mom Elyse is a travel agent.

Throughout the years Alex has hosted all types of events ranging from huge, extravagant affairs to children’s backyard birthday parties, but no matter the size or type of event your planning Alex is guaranteed to provide a professional, high-energy performance.

Emcee Adam J.  had the privilege of hosting Grace’s Bat Mitzvah at The American Hotel of Freehold, NJ on this past Saturday afternoon.  Grace’s event took place in the hotel’s “Majestic Room“, which is their grand ballroom, and is suitable for any event type. You may have visited the hotel for their Sunday Brunch. If not, we highly recommend it!

Many clients ask us: “How can you make an afternoon event feel like an evening event?” Our answer is actually quite simple- “Do amazing events, every event, no matter where; during whatever time of dayMost importantly, know your venues floor plans.” At American Hotel, your afternoon event feels as if you are partying in the evening. October Awareness & Events

The Miceli family supported their survivor, and all survivors by incorporating “pink props” in their giveaway package.  A Bar or Bat Mitzvah giveaway package can be customized to enhance any theme, color, and or hobby that the guest of honor prefers.  Additional support for breast cancer awareness was displayed in the Miceli’s family’ dessert medley, which were pink chocolate covered oreos’. So Delicious!

Point Pleasant, NJ – The fight to end breast cancer starts with a single step. Join us October 19, 2014 for the most powerful breast cancer awareness event in New Jersey, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Point Pleasant Beach. Last year alone, supporters raised $68 million nationwide to help the American Cancer Society save lives and this year you have the opportunity to join the fight and have fun doing it. Registration begins at 8AM and the walk at 10AM.

Before and after the 5k walk, join AJH Entertainment in the Arnold Avenue parking lot for a fun-filled celebration including keynote speakers, talented DJs Dancers & MCs and an up-lifting dance party to bring everyone together for one remarkable cause.  Last year over 20,000 participants walked, sang & danced together in a sea of pink to raise money, bring awareness and hopefully one day put an end to breast cancer once and for all.

This year, let’s raise the roof (and of course the funds) together at a powerful and inspiring event to honor those who have battled breast cancer, spread the word about what we can do to help prevent it, and raise money to find cures and support programs and services for those facing the disease.

AJH Launches New Website

AJH Website Launch

Since 1997, AJH Entertainment has hosted all event types, for all ages. Essentially, Bar and Bat Mitzvah’s are our largest clientele. Over the past few years, since AJH went full-time, we have had the honor of expanding our horizons and hosting Weddings, Corporate and Camp-based picnics, and becoming the preferred host of New Jersey’s largest walk for “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer“, which is based out of Point Pleasant, NJ.

The launch of our new website is considered a celebration, because we have hit our 17th year in business! For those who do not know, AJH began with parties for friends, and word of mouth truly makes our company what it is today. AJH is a full service event and entertainment company consisting of dedicated professionals whom absolutely love what they do. Many of our “A-team” staff members hold full time occupations during the week, however they also spend their weekends making your event ever so special, and they look forward in doing so.

Working alongside AJH during the week is Impressions Photo & Video whom shares space with us at our office. We have had the pleasure of working with Impressions on many occasions, and we make a great team. Our brand new office based out of Marlboro, NJ is over 3,000 sq. ft., and holds it’s own event space. More importantly, we have two great services, under one roof!

The website launch is a turning point, where AJH has grown from something considered just a hobby, to a successful multi-opt event business. AJH Mentorship


299413_10150318047275443_944730871_nBack in 2011, AJH Entertainment had the privilege of hosting Jillian’s Sweet 16 at Knob Hill Golf Club. Since then, Jillian has kept in touch with AJH Entertainment staff, and is now “Prom Planner” for her Senior Prom for Communications High School, a Monmouth County Vocational School District. Jillian and her fellow colleagues have reserved AJH services for their prom, which will be held at Jacques Caterers this May, 2014. AJH is known for building relationships with their past clients and becoming part of their family. We will also be hosting Jillian’s sister’s Wedding this September at The Ocean Place Resort & Spa.

While attending school, and prom planning, Jillian is also completing her Mentorship Program out of the AJH office. Adam (owner) and Denise (office manager) are assisting Jillian in the learning the ropes of the event planning process.
Jillian’s focus of study is Media and Design. She is applying her skills at our office to complete Business Marketing, Vendor relationships, Advertising, and behind the scene design tasks that AJH works on daily. Jillian will also be joining us at events and showcases.
314527_10150318047870443_239448582_nThe mentorship program we have designed for Jillian will begin with the focus of School Entertainment. Jillian will be contacting all of the schools from Monmouth County, introducing herself and our company to the administrative staff.
The goal will be to create a Marketing Piece that reflects the needs and wants of Entertainment as a whole, for all of the schools she has contacted. In this brochure, Jillian will be designing the layout, images, Entertainment details, and advertisement of AJH Entertainment. Our focus is to attract the market of school events; as small as Ice Cream Socials and Outdoor Events, to as large as Assemblies and Proms.
Other duties include Jillian building relationships with our clients, whereas she could be designing templates for your enhancements; such as, Photobooth Footers and designs, Gobo’s (Name in Lights), and creating your Customized Picture Montage.
To many of us, a DJ and event company is known for only working on the weekend. However, the weekdays are spent planning, designing, focusing on new client opportunity, and personalizing events for our existing and future clients. The Entertainment industry is never closed, and our hours of operation fluctuate due to fit the schedules of our clientele.
We are super psyched to have this opportunity in being a part of Jillian’s mentorship, and you may just see her at your upcoming event!

AJH Bar Mitzvahs hit Atlanta, Georgia!

Coca Cola BearIf you are searching for the perfect place to visit for a long weekend, you will not be disappointed taking a trip to Atlanta, Georgia. Did you know that the original Coca Cola Factory remains in the ATL? For just twenty dollars per person, and maybe less for the kiddies, you can take an amazing tour of the factory. Not only do you absorb some interesting facts about this delicious drink, but you also see a 4D Movie, and taste soda from all over the world in their amazing tasting room.

Did you know that the first servings of Coca‑Cola were sold for just 5 cents per glass? Now that’s a bargain! With Coke’s most recognizable mascot, the white polar bear, we can all agree that Coca Cola commercials make us as happy as this bear and it’s family. The number one question that the Coca Cola staff will ask you is, “What does Coca Cola make you feel like?”.  For most people, it’s a feeling of happiness! Watch this video and find out!

Now for the Mitzvah details! Syd’s Bar Mitzvah took place at The Goat Farm. If you haven’t heard of it, you may recognize it from some of your favorite tv shows and or movies. For instance, “The Walking Dead” and “The Hunger Games“. Did you now the entire city of Atlanta was shut down to film “Walking Dead”. Could you even imagine being in an entire city full of zombies? We cannot, not ever! Thank goodness it’s just a show.

When our AJH crew arrived to The Goat Farm, we were for sure in a bit of of culture shock. We were in fact on a farm, next to a railroad, surrounded by rustic barn-like buildings with shattered glass windows, and introduced to the largest pig we had ever seen named “Olivia”. The space for Syd’s celebration was unique in every way. The space was simply just a space for entertaining, therefore everything from food, heat, entertainment, and restrooms had to be provided. The atmosphere for Syd’s Bar Mitzvah was theatrical and artistic.

Syd’s cocktail hour consisted of canvas moral painting, leather bracelet making, and trivia about Syd. The cocktail reception consisted of barn-like table full of hor dourves, and candle lighting on every table to give the space that cozy yet dingy bar like feel. An Israeli band performed live, just before AJH Entertainment took the stage introducing family and friends to the Bar Mitzvah boy. AJH is so grateful for this amazing experience, and we are so happy to share it with you all!
